I ATTENDED the Remembrance Ceremony here in Walkden as a "lucky" one who came back from the Second World War -- but not without the scars, both physically and mentally.
I watched the recording made of the ceremony in London on TV to see our leader lay his wreath. I wondered how he could do this to honour the dead, yet, at the same time, prepare for war against Iraq, causing many more casualties, both military and civilian.
I don't suppose his eldest son will be joining this war to show support for his father, will he?
