VERY poor weather conditions of late has made driving a rather hazardous occupation, particularly in late afternoon when the roads are extremely busy.
Responsible drivers have reacted to these conditions by using their lights, but a minority continue to drive without lights on their vehicles, just as though it was normal daylight. Regrettably, many of these drivers are young mothers who have collected their children from school. They are a menace, not just to other drivers and pedestrians, but to themselves and their children.
So, come on, ladies, and the others who are equally guilty of bad driving, remember that car lights are not just for seeing where you are going, but also for others to become fully aware of your approach.
