THE final aggregate match and championship decider of Lord Nelson AC's campaign was held on the Bridgewater Canal in Trafford and once again Trevor Bevin was crowned the champion.
It was nip and tuck throughout the season with Tony Carter ensuring that the issue went to the last match, but although Trevor has never won a match throughout the year his consistent framing in the minor places ensured that the silverware went back with him to Farnworth for the fifth time in the clubs 17 years history.
The match itself was a very 'peggie' affair with those lucky enough to draw a five or under making the frame.
Mark Farrell enjoyed himself with a four pounds tench and a one pound perch being added to around threre pounds of bits all taken on bloodworm ensured that his 7lbs-15ozs-15drs total weight took top spot.
Pegged next door and in second place was Pat Power who had a two pound tench in his 6lbs bag.
