Landlady attacked
A PUB landlady was punched in the face after confronting a burglar armed with a crowbar. The thief broke into the Hark To Towler public house in Market Street, Tottington, at closing time yesterday.
He threatened her with the crow bar and punched her in the face before fleeing from the scene.
She suffered cuts to her cheek and mouth.
The landlady said: "He was so calm.
"He asked me to take off my jewellery but I ripped it from my neck.
"I don't know what made me go upstairs at the time.
"I am still a bit shaken and my mouth is very sore.
"I was terrified."
The intruder was described as white, about 20 years, 5ft 9ins, with light brown hair and was wearing a waist length light blue fleece jacket, faded dark jeans and white and cream trainers.
