PUPILS enjoyed an entertaining night out at the same time as celebrating their academic achievements.
The young people from Harper Green School played host to former pupil and local dialect celebrity, Hilda Barton, at their annual awards evening. Hilda presented certificates and trophies to past pupils and current Year 11 pupils.
Headteacher Peter Jefferies praised the success of this year's GCSE pupils who notched-up a 99 per cent pass rate and proved to be the Farnworth school's most academically successful year group ever.
