A FATHER involved in a four year tug-of-love battle over his son went to Greece for an emotional get together with his two children.
Ian Lomax united his 11-year-old son Christopher with the three-month-old baby step sister Amy Louise, whom he has never seen.
Ian travelled to Greece with his wife Suzi and their daughter to meet the boy who was at the centre of the battle.
For the last four years Mr Lomax has been embroiled in legal proceedings because his ex-wife, Helen, kept Christopher in Greece after splitting up from her husband while they were there on holiday.
Mr Lomax, aged 44, of Alder Street, Great Lever, said: "Our trip was a great success. Christopher was so happy to see me but was a little nervous about meeting Amy-Louise for the first time. I think he was a little bit jealous at first because she lives with me in England but as the days went by he got closer to her and wanted to cuddle and play with her all the time. He even bought her a toy rattle."
He added: "We have also had a meeting with a member of Social Services in Greece, who said that we both must not put pressure on Christopher, but it is possible that he will be able to come to England for visits in the future."
Mr Lomax won access to Christopher after a long battle through the Greek courts, but his ex-wife still refuses to allow his father to take him out of Greece. He now visits his son three or four times a year.
Mr Lomax added: "When Christopher kissed us all goodbye he was upset, as I was too -- but I told him I'd see him soon."
