SATURDAY: BRUNO N'Gotty becomes the second Bolton player to be sent off in successive Premiership games when he is shown the red card by referee Mike Riley after just 20 minutes for a collision with West Brom striker Jason Roberts.
Wanderers are a goal behind at the time but fight back, Per Frandsen rescuing a 1-1 draw with a header two minutes from time. Delroy Facey, starting a month's loan at Bradford, scores after just eight minutes of the home game against Wimbledon. But after his his fellow Wanderer, Steve Banks, is stretchered off with a knee injury, the Bantams go down 5-3.
MONDAY
HAVING criticised referees' chief, Philip Don, for putting Mike Riley in charge of the Albion game - less than a year after his controversial handling of last season's Leicester game - Sam Allardyce suggests the introduction of a "cooling off" period keeping refs away from grounds where they have 'a history'. Wanderers confirm they will appeal against N'Gotty's red card. Akin Bulent adds to Wanderers' disciplinary woes when he is sent off for retaliation in the reserves' 2-1 defeat away to Everton. Matt Tubbs heads an equaliser two minutes from time but Everton snatch a last minute winner. Leam Richardson plays for Bradford City Reserves with a possible loan deal on the cards.
TUESDAY
THE Professional Game Board Match Officials respond to Allardyce's criticism of Philip Don by insisting that "careful consideration" is given to the appointment of all referees.
WEDNESDAY
Reports circulate that Turkish club Galatasaray are to pursue $US7million compensation claim through the newly-established Tribunal for Arbitration for Football after losing Akin Bulent to Wanderers on a free transfer. Although under pressure to raise £10m by selling players, Derby insist that no-one will be sold on the cheap - a warning to clubs such as Wanderers, who have been linked with Rams' £3m-rated striker Malcolm Christie.
THURSDAY
WANDERERS say they know nothing of the Galatasaray claim and refuse to comment officially but indicate that they will vigorously contest it. Jay Jay Okocha is one of three Premiership players to receive Nigeria's highest civilian honour, "The Order of Merit."
FRIDAY
SIMON Charlton is lined-up to return to the starting line-up at Leeds, where Ricardo Gardner is suspended. Steve Banks cuts short his loan stay at Bradford after suffering a knee injury.
