PEOPLE in Astley Bridge will be swinging to the beat of the 1960s next week when a new musical opens in town.
The Children's Amateur Theatre Society will be staging "A Slice of Saturday Night", a musical which wil takehe audien on a nostalgic journey back to the Swinging Sixties.
The show, being performed at the Theatre Church, Seymour Road, Astley Bridge, is set in a 1960s nightclub, with the 13 to 20-year-old cast singing hits from the era. It runs from Thursday to Saturday, although Saturday night's show is already sold out. Tickets cost £5, and £4.50 for concessions, and they are available on 01204 659199.
