IS it me or am I missing something?
On Saturday while digesting the news that we were gunning for three points with a certain Dean Holdsworth leading the line, a certain Delroy Facey was scoring out on loan for Bradford.
Come on, it does not take a genius to work out that while we are struggling to keep clean sheets we are also struggling to score goals.
Every time we go 1-0 down the best we can realistically hope for is a point at best because I cannot see us, with the current forwards we have got, scoring two goals in a match.
Why did Sam Allardyce buy Chris Armstrong and Delroy Facey if he is not prepared to give them a chance?
Dean Holdsworth is not Premiership class and has not been for a long time. I hope that when the transfer window opens in January, Big Sam has a striker on the top of his list.
Look no further than Bury's Jon Newby, Rob Earnshaw at Cardiff or Crewe's Rob Hulse. Until that time I think we have got to persevere with Ricketts at the very least. Please no more Deano because if he continues to play it will be back to Division One.
