A YOUNG mother-of-two was found dead in her flat after she took an accidental overdose of morphine, an inquest heard.

Georgina Barlow, of Cowling Brow, was found by police who forced the door after being alerted by a friend.

The 29-year-old was lying dead on the floor. She had taken around three-and-a-half times the fatal dose of morphine.

Her former partner Greg Morris, father of one of Georgina's children, told Preston Coroner's Court he saw Georgina days before her death in February.

He said: "She seemed lonely, very lonely."

Coroner Howard McCann recorded a verdict of accidental death.
