MEN, women and children are being sought for slave labour. But don't worry, we aren't moving back to the Victorian era -- Ellen Kent and Opera International are looking for slaves to appear on stage.
They are needed for the opera Aida, which comes to Manchester's Opera House from November 25 to 28, and 30.
The companies also present Norma on November 29.
The opportunity is on offer for anyone who ever wanted to perform in an opera.
Singers from the Chisinau National Opera will be starring in the productions, and people from Bolton can appear alongside them on stage.
Slaves and soldiers are required.
A spokesman said: "We ideally need 10 medium build males for soldiers and 10 medium build men and women for slaves.
"This is all being dealt with on a voluntary basis, all costumes will be provided, and a fun and adventurous night is guaranteed."
Anyone interested should contact Ellen Kent on 01634 820226 and ask for Sally Stevens.
Aida is one of the most stunning and popular operas ever written.
The Verdi classic is a story of war, jealousy and revenge. At the heart of the story is the doomed love of the beautiful Ethiopian slave girl Aida and the Egyptian hero, Radames.
Norma is a powerful tragic opera by Bellini which gave Maria Callas one of her most famous and demanding roles.
It tells of the tragic, forbidden love of the Druid High Priestess, Norma, for the Roman officer Pollione.
Performances will be in the original Italian, accompanied by surtitles.
Ticket details are from 0161 242 2509.
