A SCHOOLBOY looks set to hurl himself from the top of the Manchester's National Cycling Centre in a bid to raise cash for charity.
Bolton School pupil James Bowker, aged 12, will abseil 150 foot down the building next Saturday.
He is raising money for the British Lung Foundation and Bolton Breathe Easy, the latter organisation chaired by his grandfather Keith Orton.
The abseil is 120 foot higher than his previous effort down a rock face on a school outward bound trip. Mr Orton, who suffers breathing difficulties, said: "He's doing this abseil because I can't and he wants to raise money for our organisation." To sponsor James phone 01204 373010.
