BURY Council has chosen a greener option in their efforts to keep the town clean.
The council has purchased an all-electric vehicle which will be used daily to help empty town centre bins.
The two-man vehicle is not only environmentally friendly, but will save money by reducing running costs and servicing, and having a longer service life. It will also be used to carry out gritting of pedestrianised areas.
