A ROAD block put in place to reduce traffic on a "rat run" is to be moved several metres along the road.
Planning chiefs decided to move the road block in Seymour Road after an Orchard Avenue resident complained the bollards meant it was a 15-minute journey to move her car from her drive, around the back of her property and to the front of her house.
The bollards will be moved next to No1 Orchard Avenue.
The occupiers have agreed to the new positioning as it will enable them to access their property from either Crompton Way or Blackburn Road.
The new position will mean Orchard Avenue homes and two houses in Seymour Road will have to gain access from Crompton Way, rather than Blackburn Road. If no objections to the order are received within six months, it will become permanent.
