HOW your favourites performed
LEEDS UNITED 2, Wanderers 4
WANDERERS
3-5-2
JUSSI JAASKELAINEN ... 6
Got a hand on the first goal, helpless on the second - hardly troubled in between but handled well.
ANTHONY BARNESS ... 8
Mr Reliable followed up his impressive show against Albion with another solid display; countless interventions.
IVAN CAMPO ... 7
Continues to live on the edge, while the fans live on the nerves; there is never a dull moment.
BRUNO N'GOTTY ... 6
Limped out with a calf strain ahead of his three match ban but not before making a crucial block on Viduka.
BERNARD MENDY ... 7
His defensive frailties were exposed on the goals but his attacking strengths helped keep Leeds on the back foot.
PER FRANDSEN ... 7
Played a more withdrawn role than he is used to but still made a big contribution in the centre of midfield.
KEVIN NOLAN ... 6
Energetic and determined on his return but he is still struggling to hit his best form.
JAY JAY OKOCHA ... 7
Leeds went on high alert when he got the ball; not everything he tried came off but still played a big part in the win.
SIMON CHARLTON ... 7
Made a lot of headway down the left in a wing-back role that is hardly his speciality.
YOURI DJORKAEFF ... 8
Venables singled him out - hardly surprising since this was the maestro close to his best, outstanding at times.
HENRIK PEDERSEN ... 9
His first goals in the Premiership and it could have been a hat-trick; an assist too ... a reward for all his hard work.
Subs: Stig Tofting (7) for N'Gotty 58 mins, Ricketts for Nolan 77 mins. Not used: Dean Holdsworth, Jeff Smith, Kevin Poole.

Man of the Match
HENRIK PEDERSEN - IF goals come as a reward for hard work, then these are the first of many for the big Dane. His first strike was impressive but his injury-time volley that put the result beyond doubt was stunning. In between he hit the post and claimed an assist for Djorkaeff's goal.
Magic Moment
LEEDS had twice managed to hit back within minutes of Wanderers taking the lead so when Ricketts put them ahead for the third time, it was nailbiting stuff - until Campo sent Tofting racing down the right and, one Dane to another, the perfect cross was converted by a perfect volley. Game over!
Moan of the Match
THREE days after Alan Smith had rammed four past Hapoel Tel Aviv to put Leeds into the third round of the UEFA Cup, the fans were at it again with chants of "Venables Out!" and worse ... short memories, or what! Couldn't they just accept being beaten by a better team?
