STIG Tofting has admitted the frustration that has accompanied his first nine months of his Wanderers career.
But after a performance which turned the game at Elland Road, the midfielder is hoping to finally become Bolton's Great Dane.
Tofting replaced the injured Bruno N'Gotty in the 58th minute against Leeds and created the vital late goals for Michael Ricketts and Henrik Pedersen.
Now the 33-year-old is hoping for an extended run in the team and the chance to show the form that helped him make the Danish squad for the World Cup and gain 41 international caps.
Bolton fans had seen little of the midfielder until the victory on Sunday, as his Premiership career has been blighted by a series of injuries since he joined in February, as well as his conviction for assault in Denmark.
Until Sunday, he had played just nine minutes of league football this season, and has only made six starts for Sam Allardyce since arriving from SV Hamburg for £250,000.
But he admitted that until his contract ends in the summer he is determined to concentrate on his football, especially as his wife and children remain in his homeland.
Tofting said: "I am only in England to play football because my family is back in Denmark, so it is not the best way to have a life over here if I'm not playing.
"I would like to play some more and show everyone what I can do because when I am on the pitch I don't think about anything else.
"It is only when I am playing that I am very happy to be here."
