WANDERERS have switched two of their prestige home fixtures to lunchtime kick-offs on police advice to discourage pre-match drinking.
A meeting between club officials and Greater Manchester Police resulted in the Boxing Day fixture against Newcastle United being brought forward to 1pm while the big derby clash with Manchester United on Saturday, February 22, will kick off at 12 noon. Both games were originally scheduled for 3pm kick offs. All-ticket restrictions will be in operation for the United game with no tickets on sale on the day.
The home games against Blackburn on Saturday, December 7 (ko 3pm) and Everton on Tuesday, January 28 (ko 8pm) have been made all-ticket.
Tickets for the Blackburn game go on sale to holders of both Lifeline and Club memberships from Thursday, then to holders of Lifeline or Club memberships from Friday and open sale starts on Monday, Nov 25.
