MOVE over Posh and Becks -- Bolton has a new celebrity pin-up to occupy the wall space of thousands of fans - none other than comic Peter Kay.
The Phoenix Nights star has been outselling all the celebrities in the 2003 calendar stakes.
Even traditional heart-throb figures like Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and sex symbol singer Enrique Iglesias are trailing in the comedian's wake.
The Peter Kay calendar went on sale in HMV on October 30, and since then fans have been snapping it up in droves, easily outselling a glittering array of stars including David Beckham and Gareth Gates. A spokesman for HMV said: "The Peter Kay calendar has only been on sale for a short time, but it has been outselling all the major stars in the last 10 days.
"The sales have been phenomenal in the north and this has helped his new calendar become our current best seller.
"Peter Kay has a general comedy appeal, not just with Phoenix Nights, but with the commericals he has done too, so this has obviously appealed to our customers.
Peter is currently on the road with his sell out "My Mum Wants a Bungalow" tour.
All 2,400 tickets for his Bolton dates were sold out in less than an hour.
