LEIGH East staged a dramatic fightback in the final three minutes to bring Barla Premier Division leaders Siddal crashing to a narrow 22-20 defeat.
An Ian Lewis try and Dave Radley conversion gave Easts an early 6-0 lead but Siddal got themselves on the scoreboard with a penalty before a short spell of pressure ended with Gary Fletcher adding a second try for Leigh.
Radley increased the lead to 10 points with a further penalty for offside and Easts led 12-2 at the turnaround but Siddal came out for the second half a tougher proposition and were soon back in contention thanks to a converted try.
Siddal then took advantage of two Easts players being sent to the sin-bin to race into a 20-12 lead and all looked lost for the home team until crisp handling put John Woods over by the corner flag.
Radley missed the conversion but Woods added a further try and Radley added the conversion to give Easts a memorable victory.
This time there was no mistake from the boot of Radley and Easts celebrated a memorable 22-20 victory.
