IT'S fair to say that, these days, the average British male has shed his sloppy image and turned into quite a natty dresser.

Perhaps not quite adopting the flamboyance of the fashion-mad Italians or the chic French, the boys from Britain now ooze confidence when it comes to choosing their wardrobe.

They've chucked out their grey socks and baggy tracksuit bottoms and replaced them with sharp suits, distressed denim, retro shirts and, for the really brave, lots of velvets and satins.

According to Topman, tailoring is pushed to the limits this winter. Key tuxedo jackets styled with retro shirts and worn denim jeans are presented alongside traditional suiting and retro slim cuts give a nostalgic feel to a modern silhouette

Hurrah for the new British man -- we're all cock-a-hoop over his slick tailoring.
