A NEW survey claims shoppers in the North-west are likely to be the most generous this Christmas.
The survey, from market analysts Mintel, says the average adult is expected to spend about £318 on Christmas presents for close family and friends this year.
But in the North-west, that figure is predicted to be around £350.
People living in Yorkshire and the North-east are the second and third most generous in the UK. The least generous are in Wales and the South-west.
