THE cast of Bolton's pantomime, Dick Whittington, will be swapping the boards of the Albert Halls for the cold streets when they star in the town's Christmas parade tomorrow (Thursday).
Two of the panto's stars, Granada TV personality Paul Crone and funnyman Bernard Wrigley, are expected to be in the procession, which will include Father Christmas, Rudolph, Chewitts Dinosaur, Brewster the Bear and Derian Dog.
The parade goes through the town centre, starting at 6.15pm at the New Pack Horse Hotel, Bradshawgate, and finishing at Victoria Square.
Bolton-born celebrity Vernon Kay will turn on the town's Christmas lights and fireworks will end the evening. Tickets are already being snapped up for the panto, which runs from November 29 to January 5.
As well as celebrities, the show will feature local singers and dancers, puppets and magical sets. Tickets are available from the box office, priced £4.95, or by calling 01204 334400.
