MEMBERS of the Mothers' Union at St Thomas's Church, Westhoughton, have launched an appeal for wool which is needed for their annual knitting appeal.
Their annual knitting appeal has already resulted in 138 wollen blankets being sent to Romania and 136 wollen vests being dispatched to Afghanistan.
This year they are knitting bonnets for premature babies born in the Royal Bolton Hospital's maternity unit.
