CHORLEY FM is back on air and organisers promise a great mix of music for listeners.
The volunteer-run station will broadcast a mixture of dance, R'n'B, techno and trance music from its Market Street studios for three weeks.
The station faced an uncertain future after a row over ownership of the name with Chorley FM Ltd.
But the continuing furore has not deterred organisers.
Producer Steve RH described the station as an exciting breakthrough for Chorley dance music fans.
He said: "I guarantee Chorley FM will supply dance music not catered for by the other local stations.
"We will be encouraging listeners to take part by phoning, texting and entering competitions. We will be playing a bit of everything from soul and funk to house, trance and techno."
Chorley FM, funded by the South Lancashire Arts Partnership, broadcasts on 87.9FM from 8am to midnight until Tuesday, December 10.
