A BOY has denied making up an alleged indecent assault by a worker in a fast-food takeaway.
But he agreed that, minutes earlier, he and his friends had been thrown out of Koolio's takeaway in Derby Street, Bolton, because of their unruly behaviour.
The 13-year-old boy was being cross-examined at Bolton Crown Court.
He and a friend allege that takeaway worker Zakariya Patel touched their bottoms as they helped unload a delivery van.
Patel claims that he did not touch the boys in any indecent way and that he had grabbed hold of their shoulders to move them away.
The boy said he and his friends used to visit Koolio's takeaway at least once a week for about a year. He agreed that on January 8, the day of the alleged indecent assault, one of his friends was jumping on the counter and one had been riding his scooter inside the shop.
They had been thrown out, but saw a delivery van around the back and went to help unload supplies.
Patel, aged 25, of Roseberry Street, Bolton, denies two charges of indecent assault. The case was continuing today.
