A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after his Ford Sierra car was in collision with a Range Rover before crashing into a wall in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge early today.
Fire crews were called at 12.30am. They feared the driver of the Sierra was trapped inside but he was standing on the pavement unhurt as they arrived.
He was being questioned by police today after being arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving. Both cars were badly damaged. The driver of the Range Rover was not hurt.
