STAFF at a dental practice are celebrating after being shortlisted for a national award.
Carhill Dental Surgery on Higher Bridge Street has received a certificate of merit for marketing from a national dental magazine, and staff were invited to take part in a presentation night in London.
But principal dentist, Michael Cahill, from Wigan, celebrated his 40th birthday on the same night as the ceremony and staff were unable to go to pick up the award.
Gayna Smith, aged 29, from Horwich, is the clinical manager at the surgery who composed and sent the letter which led to the practice being shortlisted.
The award will be sent to the surgery and staff are all very proud of the commendation.
