CHORLEY face another of their promotion rivals, Farsley Celtic, in the UniBond first division tomorrow and will go above the Yorkshire side if they win.
The Magpies are currently just outside the play-off places in sixth position, and have had their progress stunted by so many postponed games. "We keep getting games called off just when we need to keep the momentum going," said boss Mark Molyneaux. "We have had four off now but tomorrow is definitely on because our pitch is beautiful."
Chorley have re-signed Danny Mills from Ossett Town but still hopes to secure the signature of midfielder Bobby Jones, who has just returned from a stint in the Australian League. He is set to sign soon, said Molyneaux. Keeper Lee Bracey made his debut last weekend in the 2-1 win over promotion hopefuls Lincoln United and 'Molly' says he is fitting in well.
"It will take five or 10 games to get used to our style of play but he can't believe how we all go out for a drink together after training and games.
"He says he has never been at a club where all the players sit and drink together."
