HAVE you ever wanted a career in media - such as running a radio or internet station or learning about photography?
The Catalyst Community Development team from Bolton Metro is working on an exciting new project in East Bolton which includes everyone from The Haulgh, Burnden, Darcy Lever, Leverhulme, Breightmet, Tonge Fold, Tonge Moor, Withins and Hall 'i'th Wood areas.
You can learn about:
Making a radio programme and running a radio station
Running an Internet TV station and making a programme
Learning about photography, taking photos and producing an exhibition
Making a first step towards a media career
Deciding what is important in your community and making a programme on it
It's FREE, it's fun, it's totally unique and will run from January to August 2003.
The project will give you the chance to learn technical skills in one of the three
following media forms:
Radio
Photography
Internet TV
Everyone involved will also learn about issues behind the media and get to work with community groups. At the end there will be a showcase of skills through a two-week radio broadcast, an internet TV broadcast and a photography exhibition.
Anybody living in the East Bolton area can join in.
