LAST week saw the half way stage of the Bolton Ladies Netball League with a double round of matches for the First and Second Divisions.

In Division One only four points separate the top three.

DBS Ladies stay top and unbeaten after a win over bottom place Originals, and coming back from a 12-8 deficit to tie with Queens 23-23 in a close game.

Red Lion Ladies were the only top three team to win both their matches, beating Chequers and Darcy Lever

to move into second. Robert Shaw who could have gone joint top, slipped to third after going down 20-23 to Chequers.

Second bottom Tobbut Sports fought bravely with two players down, and played exceptionally well against I J Webb, holding them 7-10 at half time, but could not hold on and finally went down 31-12.

In Division Two, after beating Bad Girls 36-21, Walkden A lost top for the first time this season to a surprise defeat by CBs 20-24, this moved CBs into third although they went down in a very close match with St Bonifaces 17-18.

Hard working Sharples go top on goal difference, after two convincing wins.
