COMEDIAN Bobby Ball visited Bolton Pentecostal Church to tell the story of how he became a Christian.
Bobby -- the fuzzy-haired half of TV comedy duo Cannon and Ball -- related in his own way how both he and Tommy Cannon found religion.
Bobby, aged 58, who coined the catchphrase "Rock on, Tommy", visits churches around the country to tell his story.
It was the second time he had visited Bolton Pentecostal Church in Bury New Road. He is pictured above with Pastor Derek Smith.
Bobby began his career with Cannon as the Shirell Brothers and later, as the Harper Brothers.
But they found fame under the name of Cannon and Ball following a TV appearance on Opportunity Knocks in 1968.
Yet it was another 11 years before they secured their own show following guest appearances with Bruce Forsyth.
The duo also appeared in a sitcom, Plaza Patrol, playing shopping centre security men.
Cannon and Ball appeared at Victoria Hall, Knowsley Street, during a two-month tour of Britain in 1995.
But the performance was almost cancelled after a sudden snow fall almost trapped them near Oldham. They also appeared at the Reebok Stadium in 2000 for the town's Biggest Ever Birthday Party.
