AUSTRALIAN champions Sydney Roosters are looking to play a trial match in England before their World Club Challenge final clash with Super League champions St Helens at the Reebok Stadium on February 14.
Roosters coach Ricky Stuart is acutely aware how the weather at the Reebok will be vastly different to Sydney at that time of year.
And he has recruited former Roosters and Great Britain forward Phil Clarke, now the British Lions team manager, to help arrange a match on February 8.
Saints Super League rivals are unlikely to be in a position to help Roosters, with top-flight clubs entering the Silk Cut Challenge Cup at the fourth round stage that weekend.
"I want to get the guys used to the conditions over there," said Stuart.
