POLICE were called to a Christmas party following reports of violence at Bolton Town Hall.
Trouble marreEd the celebrations in the Lancaster Suite of the Royal Albert Halls, Le Mans Crescent, Bolton, at 1.20am on Saturday.
Police were called but no arrests were made. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property. It is believed staff from the prison service had booked the room for a Christmas Party.
Bolton Council today described the incident as "very minor."
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called following reports of a disturbance.
"When police arrived at the scene, everything was calm. No complaints were made and no further action is being taken."
A spokesman for Bolton Council said : "We can confirm there was a very minor incident. There was no damage to any property and it was resolved very quickly."
