PENNINGTON moved to the Division One summit in the BSF Over 35s Football League with a well-deserved win over previous leaders Stand Athletic.
Three late goals settled a great match in their favour.
Dobbies A kept up the pressure with a 7-4 beating of Colliers Rest and Dobbies B beat Breightmet United 3-2 in a tight game.
In a minor upset, Willows beat Turton 2-1 to move away from the relegation battle.
In Division Two, leaders Hare Athletic were beaten for the first time as they went down 4-2 away at Horwich Town, a result which moves Horwich into second place.
Bay Mare Strollers moved off the bottom after a 1-1 draw with Walkden Inter and Seven Stars move up a place after beating Daten AFC 4-2, helped by a P.Johnson hat-trick.
Hayward Old Boys were convincing 5-1 winners away at Bolton Wyresdale, leaving Wyresdale bottom, and Newmarket beat Walkden Wrecks 4-3 in a close game.
Division Three leaders Ainsworth Fossils beat Old Smithillians 4-1 with the aid of Colin Spencer's first goal in ten years. Bottom Bulls Head move into second spot after beating Urmston MC 2-1 away and Rumworth & Hulton move up a spot after winning 2-1 away at the Founders Arms.
Walkden AFC move up to the security of mid table after a 4-2 victory away at Westhoughton Wingates while the DF Lostock v Dobbies C fixture was lost to the weather.
Sunday December 1 will be used to play the fixtures postponed on October 27.
