THE match of the day in the Bolton Boys Federation U16s League saw Bolton Eagles maintain top spot with Jason Lomax bagging a hat-trick in the 6-3 thrashing of unlucky AFC Bolton.
The nine-goal thriller featured other goals by Slater, two, and Schofield.
In the other games there were good wins for Junior Latics, Hindley Juniors and Tigers and a great victory for Lads Club with Montgomery netting a brace.
Daisy Hill had a great win at Lads Club, as did Radcliffe Boro over Hindley to keep them at the top of the U15s section.
Deans Youth had a terrific win over Leigh RMI with Martin scoring a double and Walshaw Sports won by the odd goal in their encounter with Hindley thanks to a 35-yard scorcher from left back Cliff.
Westhoughton won the top match in the U13s, with Hesketh scoring a double, while Ladybridge A and County Jnrs both had super wins in the U12s over strong opposition.
Woodbank remain league leaders in the U11s, closely followed by Bromley Cross and Hindley Jnrs, who are still unbeaten.
