ENGLAND'S seemingly endless injury worries continued today with Andrew Caddick undergoing a second injection in 48 hours in a desperate attempt to overcome the back spasm which has made him a major doubt for the third Ashes Test against Australia.
With worries also over Michael Vaughan's shoulder and John Crawley struggling with a torn thigh muscle, England moved quickly to call up Durham all-rounder Paul Collingwood to the squad.
Worcestershire off-spinner Gareth Batty, who is in Adelaide with the Academy, has also been put on stand-by - providing he passes a fitness Test on an injured shoulder.
Bowlers Darren Gough, Simon Jones and Ashley Giles have already returned home and Alex Tudor and Chris Silverwood summoned as replacements, while all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has been ruled out until the fourth Test.
