SHOPPERS in Bolton town centre will be able to enjoy a spot of ice skating from this week.
The "Ice Cube" open-air artificial ice rink will be open to the public in Victoria Square from this Thursday.
Skating sessions will cost £3 per hour, which includes the price of skate hire.
All youngsters under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult and organisers stress that the rink is not suitable for the under-fives.
Tower FM will be providing musical entertainment between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday and Bolton's DBBC radio will be running a road show in the square on Saturday.
Gregg's is giving away goodie bags to the first 100 children to go skating this Thursday and Saturday.
The ice rink will be open from 10am-7pm until December 28, apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
