NORTH-west companies will get the chance to learn about exporting at a special breakfast briefing in Warrington on Tuesday, January 14.
The event will outline details of the region's first ever Export Explorer mission to Bilbao and northern Spain between May 11 and 15.
Export Explorer helps novice exporters win trade overseas through a subsidised research package provided by Trade Partners UK, the Government's export advisory organisation.
Anyone wanting to attend the breakfast roadshow should contact TPUK's Paul Stowers at Business Link Cheshire & Warrington on 01925 715200.
or you can email to: paul.stowers@blinkcw.co.uk.
TPUK staff based at Business Link Warrington are organising the
mission with assistance from Elana Encisco at Liverpool Chamber.
Elana who is a native of the region, will travel with the group and
be on hand both before and during the trip to help with advice, translations and booking appointments.
Vicki Treadell, TPUK's International Trade Director for the North-west, said:
"Bilbao and Northern Spain is often overlooked by exporters, but the region is the size of Scotland and has six million people.
"It has historic trading links by sea with the UK and the British are well liked and respected in the area.
"The region has one of the best concentrations of industry in the
whole Iberian Peninsular, together with a growing consumer and
tourist sector and Bilbao has also reinvented itself as a cultural
centre in recent years, with the landmark Guggenheim Contemporary Arts Museum."
Details of the Bilbao mission are still being finalised, but participants will receive flights, transfers, four nights in a four star hotel in central Bilbao, tailored market research (including
identifying and approaching "warm leads"), one day training in the UK
on how to do business in this region, help with translations, and one-to-one support and advice throughout.
It costs about £550 per person.
Anyone wanting to attend the breakfast roadshow should contact TPUK's Paul Stowers at Business Link Cheshire &
