PUPILS at a Kearsley school were getting their teeth into "lessons" with more enthusiasm than usual this week.
They have been scaring their fellow pupils and parents, by putting on a blood thirsty extravaganza.
The 40 youngsters from Kearsley West Primary School have been earning rave reviews starring in the junior version of the much-loved musical "The Rocky Horror Show".
The children, who are aged between nine and 11, could not wait to give their first performance of the show for their fellow pupils and parents.
All the staff at the Primrose Street school have helped out by creating costumes and scenery for the musical which has been specially re-written for a young audience.
music teacher Lynn Massey co-ordinated the drama which has involved youngsters giving up their playtimes for rehearsals.
Headteacher Dorothy Lee said: "It's been tremendously hard work because it's the first time the school has ever staged this production.
"Mrs Massey has worked so hard. We've had some real surprises with youngsters showing off hidden talents."
The children staged their final performance today.
