AMBULANCES are getting their fuel in the high street -- with a cut-price deal from Shell garages.
Instead of filling up at ambulance stations, Bolton crews are going to filling stations after the Greater Manchester Ambulance Service admitted that the old system was obsolete. The ambulance service has kept three petrol tanks for emergency use.
, and are now getting fuel at a "significant discount" off the pump price.
