DISABLED shoppers will be delighted to hear that Chorley's shopmobility service has re-opened.
The service, which provides wheelchairs and mobility vehicles for shoppers, was suspended when a new access ramp was deemed unsuitable.
Council workers were called out to lower the steep ramp but had to return to fix it again when the non-slip surface was damaged the rain.
On Saturday the service opened its doors again after the three-week closure.
Secretary Morris Waterhouse said: "We are delighted that we have finally re-opened.
"We provide such a valuable service for people in the area and have been extremely busy since Saturday. I'm sure now it will be business as usual in the run-up to Christmas."
