TWO Bolton fighters will take centre stage at the British Thai Boxing Championships. Andy Morris and Mandy Crossley will be in action on Sunday, December 1 at the Atlantis nightclub.
It is the 19th consecutive year the national championships have been held in Bolton, first at the Silverwell Street Sports Centre before moving to Horwich Leisure Centre.
As well as championship bouts there is also a secondary angle or a north versus south challenge between nine fighters who are travelling up from London and the same number from the North.
The Bolton duo will both be fighting in the regional challenge with Morris competing at light heavyweight and Crossley making her debut.
Standing tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children with a limited number of seat tickets costing £25 for adults and £20 for children. Adult tickets will include access to the nightclub after the competition has finished.
Doors open at 2pm for a 3pm start and the proceeds will go towards the Childrens Hospitals Appeal Trust charity.
Tickets can be purchased from Sandy Holt at Bolton Thai Boxing Club on 395807 or on the day from Atlantis.
