The newest addition to the Bradshawgate line up, neatly tucked in alongside Sizzling Palace.

What?

Hands up who pronounced the name of this bar the same as Salvador Dali? Yep, me neither! But this is the theme (well, if you can call a few Salvador Dali pictures scattered on the wall a theme.) Similar to many bars on Bradshawgate, the die-hard drinkers can be found downstairs with quieter groups upstairs on the comfy seats.

In Crowd?

I hit the streets of Bolton on a Friday night as soon as I turned 18, and always thought I blended in well with the older crowd with my glittery boob tubes, but when I walked into the Dali bar, at 23 years old, I wanted to run home and pick up my knitting! Let's just say the crowd is a little on the young side.

Handbag or Heavy metal?

The music was loud and typical of what you'd expect to hear in a town centre bar. Dance, house and a few chart toppers thrown in for good measure. I'm sure I heard a DJ, or at least someone talking on a microphone but couldn't spot one anywhere.

What's the Damage?

There are two bars, one on each floor. The bottom bar gets very busy so I advise venturing upstairs and for those of you who saw me on Saturday night - I didn't fall, I was picking something up! The bar upstairs is a bottle bar and is averagely priced.

Verdict?

If you're out in a big group and have one mission in mind then drag yourself into Dali Bar for a few After Shocks. Or if you simply want to be influenced by the work of Salvador Dali, actually no forget that bit. Dali Bar isn't my cup of tea, but in all fairness it is popular with the new generation of clubbers and come 10pm on a Saturday the place is packed to the rafters with partygoers. The doormen are quite friendly too.
