THE shirt off a TV star's back is being auctioned to help raise cash for charity. A T-shirt signed by Bolton-born Vernon Kay is one of the main items in the auction organised by the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Walsh.
Also going under the hammer are 25 Commonwealth Games' banners which were on display in Bolton.
All money raised will go to the Mayor's Charity Appeal for a new coronary care unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
The banners, T-shirt and other items will be auctioned during the Mayor's Coffee Morning and Christmas Fair on Saturday in the Festival Hall at Bolton Town Hall.
The purple Games banners are measure about six feet by two feet and there are separate ones for the badminton and cycling events.
