A GROUP of young apprentices from Bolton Council have forfeited money for a good cause.
Fourteen people aged between 16-24 who are doing NVQ training with the Council's Employment and Training Unit attended a confidence building course, by Weston Spirit, an organisation co-founded by Falklands War Veteran Simon Weston OBE.
The charity tackles issues of social exclusion in young people through personal development programmes.
The apprentices were given the option of receiving a £5 bonus for attending the course or forfeiting the money so that it could be spent on children's toys.
The toys are being donated to the nursery at Top o'th' Brow County Primary School in Breightmet and will be presented during school assembly on Friday, December 13.
More details about NVQ training are available on 01204 336182.
