WHAT a sad sight to see The Water Place cordoned off.
As a regular visitor, it was music to one's ears to see the laughing, happy children enjoying the rough river rides and the plumes, and what a delight to hear the voice say there will be a water wave in a few minutes and to see the anticipation of the children waiting for its release. What a pity it had to be snatched from them.
What has Bolton to offer besides the mortuary slab seats and the pathetic fountains; or the boarded-up shops in Oxford Street, which used to be a thriving area?
