I RECKON Big Sam is the best manager Wanderers have ever had and I am going back to Bill Ridding in the early 50s.
Sam has brought some great players to Bolton and I am sure we have not yet seen their best performances.
Unfortunately, the results have not always gone our way but, from what I have seen, this is due to the inability of some players to perform consistently at a high level rather than Sam's inability to manage.
We have some players (not purchased by Sam) who have a mental block when in front of goal with the ball.
In training they can hit the net every time but on match day they freeze.
Fortunately most other teams have their share of this problem too.
In industry or business, most of us would get the sack if we stuffed up so many times but this is football and we love them when they do score.
People should leave Sam alone because he is one of the few at the club who does know what he is doing and performs well all the time.
I am sure that while Bolton will have a tough season, they will avoid relegation.
