WALMERSLEY A are closing in on the Bolton Winter Tennis league Division One title. With dog eating dog around them, they marched on with a comfortable win over Walkers C.
Markland Hill A, after a shaky start are zooming through Division One, although Walmersley will take some catching.
In Division Three Guild Hall A are also on a charge, having won their last three matches despite the absence of skipper Alan Brookes. Helping them to their latest success was the return of Bill Roscoe.
