THE remote Fair Isle, midway between the Orkney and Shetland islands, is the subject of a slide talk to Bolton RSPB group on Thursday, December 5 at Smithills School.
The speaker is Tim Melling, who works for the RSPB and is an expert on the birdlife of the island.
It starts at 7.30pm at Smithills School, Smithills Dean Road, and is open to non-members.
