IN September, the Bolton Evening News published my letter appealing for funds for Bolton Life Office, who urgently needed £3,000 to enable them to continue providing their free pregnancy service at 124, Newport Street, together with counselling service before and after abortion.
We wish to thank you very much for you kind publicity which has resulted in the princely sum of £1,700 received to date. With a continued programme of local appeals, we are determined to raise more funds to ensure a safe future for our Bolton office. Meanwhile, any young women in Bolton facing a possible difficult or unwanted pregnancy can contact Bolton Life Office first and claim a free pregnancy test, which could help to allay initial fears.
Bolton Office telephone 532660. Other useful numbers include National Hotline 01926 311511; Manchester Hotline 0161 790 1000.
Meanwhile, in addition to cash donations, we would welcome new centres for appeals.
